The Reforged Technological Union of Alnoria (RTU), who were also once known as the Technological Trade Association, was a Trade Hub located on the continent of Athel
For millennia, the southern lake of Athel and the sunken Deepwood were home to a grand union of distant kingdoms. The people of the lake thrived, their mastery of technology and culture influencing the world beyond their shores. Their cities stood as shining beacons of innovation, and their bond to the waters was eternal. Yet, as the ages passed, the brilliance of their civilization faded into legend.
The decline of the Union was not marked by a single event, but by the relentless pressures of the world around them. Rival powers sought to claim their lands for their strategic importance, while an unseen plague, Deepwood’s Bane, spread through their halls, sapping the strength of their people. As sickness and war waged against them, the leaders of the Union were faced with an impossible decision: abandon their homeland or perish within it.
With heavy hearts, the people of the Union left the continent behind, seeking a new home across the seas. Yet their journey was fraught with horrors. In the cursed forests of Wispwood, colossal serpents claimed the lives of many. Those who fled south found only death at the hands of an ancient kraken, its tentacles dragging entire ships into the abyss.
But perseverance bore fruit. At last, the survivors discovered a new land, an island rich with resources, a place where they could rebuild. They named it Granum, for the vast deposits of granite hidden beneath its surface. From this stone, they forged the foundations of their new capital: Alnoria.
The forges of Alnoria were lit once more, and with them, the spirit of the Union was reforged. The knowledge of their ancestors was not lost—it lived on in the machines they constructed, in the great walls they raised, and in the will of their people to endure.
The Reforged Technological Union of Alnoria now stands as a testament to resilience, innovation, and unity. What was once thought lost has been reclaimed, stronger than ever before. Though their past remains in the depths of the lake, their future is carved into the stone of Granum.
